Colt Starting and Clinic in Brenham, TX
In December 2010, Rob took a contract in Brenham, TX, to start 15 head of colts for the Randermann Ranch. While in Brenham, professional cutting horse trainer and clinician Barbra Schulte invited Rob to instruct a horsemanship clinic. Schulte is also a personal performance coach, author and equine consultant. We had a great time and met some wonderful people!
Australia Trip
In march 2011, we are headed back home with the intention of setting up a training facility on Deepwater Station near Roma, Qld. Our emphasis will be on starting and training horses for the cutting futurities and stockman's challenges, preparing sale horses and doing horsemanship clinics.

Good Luck Everyone in Reno!
Good luck to everyone headed to Reno, NV for the 2009 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity mid September. This year we are showing two entries: Cuttin Farts, owned by John and Lorretta Showalter (that is his real name) and Docs Working Lady, owned by Lee Leach.
Success in Ardmore!
In August we headed to Ardmore, Oklahoma, for the 2009 SRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity. With only the one horse, Docs Working Lady, Rob managed to bring home almost $5000 after winning the Intermediate Open and placing in the Open. Next stop - Reno for the big one!
Rob Leach Performance Horses has Relocated to Texas
Earlier this year, we relocated our horse training business at Whitney's Wild Oak ranch near Exeter, California, to Chris Cox's Diamond Double C Ranch, near Mineral Wells, Texas. Here, Rob will be working alongside Chris who is one of the most recognized horsemen in the world. Rob will still be at most of the major NRCHA aged events and is still taking outside horses under special circumstances.
Aussie Clinics a Huge Success!
Our 2009 trip Downunder was highlighted by a week-long clinic in Roma, QLD. The first few days were spent demonstrating some of Rob's colt-starting techniques. Everyone seemed quite impressed as one colt in particular had been to a trainer and had been dismissed as untrainable. On the second day Rob was loping the colt around in circles. Following the colt starting, Rob spent three days on advanced horsmanship. This included working the flag as well as live cattle, getting a better handle on your horse and teaching your horse to take responsibility. Everyone did a great job, and we could not have asked for a better group of people. Special thanks to Daven Vohland, at Cowtown Western Store in Roma, for doing such a great job organizing the clinic.
